This is a collaborative project with Matter Design agency, the brief was to explore the concept of food on the go. I interpreted it to create a new on-the-go packaging for donuts in the fast food industry to improve the sustainability and usability of their packaging solutions. 
The design started out as with a hinge mechanism to connect the lid to the bottom half, but that resulted in difficulties opening smoothly.
I altered it to have two tabs centralised on each side of the packaging that slot into the lower half to keep the package together.





These tabs are also used by the user to apply pressure to the donut to while eating to give them a secure  hold of the product and donut in one hand.
Creating a model gives the client a better understanding of the product's size and shape.

 

I explored multiples different variations of packaging graphics designs as there could be range of different designs, to show a larger and more diverse product range.
